Uber Introduces Features to Check Wait Times and Ride Costs in Over 10,000 Cities | Eat Kenya

Uber

Planning a trip to a new city can often be stressful, especially when it comes to transportation and Uber has recognised this challenge by introducing an innovative feature designed to ease your travels.

Now, travellers can explore Uber offerings in over 10,000 cities worldwide, including Paris, right from the app. This update provides insights into the average wait times and ride costs from local airports and various city locations.

Plus, you can even reserve rides for future trips. Simply tap “where to?” and choose “search in a different city” to start planning.

The summer is reaching its peak, and with a record number of tourists taking to the skies, Uber is rolling out a range of new products and partnerships to help you save on your summer travels to Paris and beyond.

The ride-hailing giant has partnered with Flying Blue, the loyalty program of Air France-KLM Group, to allow members to earn miles for every Euro spent on Uber rides in France and the Netherlands.

Local residents and visitors can now earn 1 Flying Blue Mile for each €1 spent, and those taking four or more trips a month can earn double.

These miles can be redeemed for flight upgrades, hotel bookings, and more. Simply link your Uber account in the settings to start accumulating miles.

This summer, Uber has also expanded its unique Uber Bubbles offering, which provides a delightful champagne tour experience. For €200, you can book a private car, enjoy two tastings, and have lunch in the heart of France’s renowned champagne region.

This service, in collaboration with champagne houses Perrier-Jouët and G.H. Mumm, is now available for booking on additional days throughout the summer due to high demand.

Another great move is the Uber Cruise on the river Seine. In partnership with Click&Boat, Europe’s leading boat rental company, Uber is offering free private cruises on fully electric boats.

These one-hour cruises, complete with a skipper, offer breathtaking views of Paris’s iconic landmarks. Departing every 20 minutes from Pont Marie in central Paris, this offer is available daily from July 12-18 and again from July 28-August 3.
