The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has warned against the extortion of its candidates at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

The examination body, in a tweet on Wednesday, noted that the approved registration fees are ₦7,700 for candidates opting for the mock exam and ₦6,200 for those who do not.

JAMB’s warming comes amidst concerns raised by candidates about being charged more than the stipulated fees at some centres.

The board, however, urged candidates to report such centres to any of its offices near them or send a message on X.

“JAMB strictly frowns at extortion of its candidates. If you have proofs of any CBT Centre collecting more than the approved registration fees of #7,700.00 with mock or #6,200.00 without mock, report such centre to any JAMB office near you or DM the details,” JAMB said.
