An all-important event, Scrum Day Nigeria – Lagos 2025, was announced today to the excitement of business leaders and professionals.

The unveiling of Scrum Day Nigeria – Lagos 2025, a groundbreaking event aimed at tackling Nigeria’s most significant business challenges through organisational transformation was held at PSSDC in Magodo, Lagos State.

Addressing journalists, Sam Adesoga, partner at Value Hut Consulting and co-convener of Scrum Day Nigeria – Lagos 2025, said the conference, scheduled for March 5, 2025, at The Civic Center, Victoria Island, will focus on “Innovation and Products for Better Outcomes.”

“The event will bring together 10 expert speakers in Agile, product management, business transformation, and leadership to share strategies for helping Nigerian businesses become more adaptive, resilient, and innovative.

Speaking on Nigeria’s business challenges & why adopting modern ways of working could be beneficial for increased effectiveness, Mr. Adesoga said Nigeria’s business environment is facing critical challenges, including economic instability caused by high inflation, currency fluctuations, and an unpredictable business climate make long-term planning difficult.

He added that inefficiency & low productivity imply that Nigerian businesses suffer from bureaucratic bottlenecks, poor collaboration, and slow decision-making.

“Slow product development is also affecting the economy as many organisations struggle to deliver products and   services on time, leading to missed market opportunities.

“There is growing lack of innovation. For instance, in the banking sector who rely majorly on charges to make profits. Thus, traditional business models are failing in a fast-changing world, and companies need better ways to adapt and compete globally.

He added that business agility has been successfully adopted worldwide, boosting productivity by up to 300%, reducing product development time by 40-60%, and improving customer satisfaction by 30% or more.
