Speaking of leveraging MDM, the GM has already explained sales are firmly focused on delivering values to our customers cannot be overemphasized. That’s ours to view, customized bespoke solutions that address the problems of SMEs in the country. So today, we are focused on two or three flagship products, and we have wBizmanager, iBroka and the wCRM that we have in the market today, our primary approach to this is to exactly understand community, look at how best we can provide the best of services and deliver value to them, we do that for every penny that is being paid. Yeah, getting the best value for each other for that money. And that’s how our goals are.
That’s our passion as a business. As our speaker today, the team is constantly looking at best ways to innovate, bring latest technology to the table. But we always look at the next level of introducing the best things to discuss. Because we’re always out for the best.
Everybody wants to get the value for their money, they’re actually waiting. And we as a business, that is our primary focus as a business, we are constantly looking at out for the best innovation to deliver best solutions. That’s quite everything. So, we got us wBizmanager, please wBizmanager has its own story because he’s like our first approach to solving these problems at the market.
wBizmanager Story
Working with complete corporates like that we are one of the biggest in the pharmaceutical, pharmaceutical industry in Nigeria. Building a custom system, they live in a very big enterprise solution and working with us to build our solution and within a very short space in time already gets in the story.
That’s one big success story I will say, thanks to the great men and women of our team that will actually work on that solution. Because it’s not something small to look at your own enterprise, you have complex processes and our processes around what to do, the prices and try to build something that can be able to interact with all those various components, sections of those industries.
And we take our turn of the challenge, write that entire solution, deliver the value to them. We are constantly striving to be the best in value. And it’s quite evident in some of the awards that we can show for in the sum of our beautiful competencies, some of the big fun, at least in optimization, we could go to Alibaba three years ago right now.
And we can just imagine a group of senior engineers walking around behind the doors. Others go into that spending so much time trying to innovate on core Microsoft platforms and delivering. We go to that extent to compete against the world of 5000 partners globally and being able to sit down there and share that yes, we have local engineers that can do things even much greater.
And it’s quite evident about people we can see today move into other climates. We are experts in shaping those gurus because yes, we have the capabilities and we are actually starting to eat and that is what really stands out for Wragby, it’s always within our best to make everyone a better person. I’m constantly thinking about customers and ensuring that we deliver that optimum value to them at every point in time. Thank you.
Empowering young women in technology
So, there is the addition I really want to call up because it’s very important point. It will be more around how we focus on empowering women in technology. And that also has been an intentional point derived from 2016. When we work with Technovation, the leader for Technovation in Nigeria. It’s one of the GMs is not here now, will have joined us here. And we started them even up for our purposes. We were bringing them to the office training them in tech and the world to compete in the US.
And that was the year that you know, they came second position and then more visibility on that. The following year, a year in here I work in Microsoft. Every year, we train 10 set of women that some of them are not even in technology. Some what they read is nobody’s interest. So, we train them. We have some software engineers; they are still in the software engineering team today. We have another set last year; they focus on data and artificial intelligence. So, we have a number of data analysts around in that team today and they are all women. And that’s where we will talk about getting that blend.
So, these are some of the intentional things we do, even within the limited resources and constraints we have, you know, it is how we conduct ourselves, living our leadership principle that determines when we grow bigger. We will continue following that plan. Thank you.
Bit about wCRM
So let me use just use this opportunity to share some brief about our CRM. So, you know, CRM is the next big leap forward in transforming the system.
Is it industry specific, or any industry can plug in?
Why X is because there are some industries in Nigeria that need CRM intervention. And what I can tell you now is insurance, that sector needs redemption, because of what has happened in the past experiences of people. And it has led to a kind of low patronage from the citizens. And you know, insurance is something we shouldn’t play with as a country. So, you’re secure, and how can you rescue that sector? Do you have a solution to rescue that sector?
Okay, thank you for that. And I’m really happy to work out because even in my introduction, I think I missed a bit of that. But then, I was able to continue that, we had a lot of learning from our wBizmanager journey. And I tell you, that shaped a lot for us, let him in the sense that we started with, let’s be just modular inventory, and all those components, because we’re looking at small, very small businesses.
As of that time, we had that version that addresses the need of small businesses, they don’t need to do a full-fledged financial report or statement, they don’t need to have double posting, they just want to do you understand. So we now have to have flavors of the solution. Okay, which is if you go on wBizmanager website today, you see can add that as based on your number of size organization determines the kind of people so we use that size of organization to help because once you are of that size, or that revenue value, like the CSCs, APS it’s another way to treat that in terms of revenue.
So, the kinds of reports they must generate, use that to inform how we build the platform. So that knowledge you want to do was like two years going through this journey. But with our CRM, we have the benefit of that, inserting that into our CRM from the get-go. The good thing is that we already actually told you, we have iBroka, which was beautiful grapevine, for that insurance sector. So, we are not aware of those challenges that is there. And that’s also been taken care of, in the way we build that playbook.
So, I think it’s a good point that you actually mentioned this. And it’s one of those, that’s how we’ll also be challenging you as our technology media partners to really work together to take the message out there and show how far we have gone. So, when people say so they should come on the platform for free, you know, for months, or three months, maybe out of this motion, we can also push that together so that they can get it because we believe that when they test it and use the platform, and then it speaks for itself. So yes, we have that same lemon incorporated to address this challenge that you faced.
So other cloud solution providers are coming to the markets. So where does it put you now?
Yeah, so disrupting the market is always encouraged in listening to your customer, and then be in your coursework. That’s one of the things that we keep everyday striving towards consistently attaining. So being close to our customers and listening to them especially in transforming number one, our enterprise product, for example, we have an enterprise product of ours called Business Service Monitoring (BSM) Solution, this helps any business to know the state of their applications before it ever goes down. So, you will never go there, it’s not this service went down 70%, we have different thresholds. We measure this across all the applications, we call it BSM.
We have some customers today, in fact, the insurance sector, they are taking it on now. Because there is more pressure on the board and the leadership of all these organizations are now less forgiving, when system goes down, because they know they’re losing money. So, there is that more demand for insights, application insight for what is happening across board. That’s what Business Service Monitoring (BSM) Solution does. It’s part of our listening to our customers, that led us to create those kinds of solutions, that for them, and that’s what I say is all in, in listen to our customers.
So that’s just one, we also have, I can actually tell you just want more, because there are quite a number, but I want to mention this just for you to have a feel from our data. Data zone team. Those are the team that focuses on artificial intelligence and data engineering.
Yeah, part of what they’ve done is this they build solutions, because we also have services that people can consume as a service that they have the cloud okay, because the cloud services is not just about hosting your application for how you can quickly take technology solutions to address business needs and to derive immediate benefits from it, that is the power of the cloud. So based on feedback, we have some offerings like Sentinel analysis, that is for businesses and this one in the PFA sector, they say back to the insurance, yes, there is a huge demand now, because they want to know, a lot and this will be taking information from several social platform from LinkedIn to Facebook to insert a little politician.
Yeah, I mean, you make a boy, so, Sentinel analysis is a key one that the team has actually worked down, then we have customer segmentation analysis here, which is also undesirable, when you’re talking about this, what we do with this is trained machine learning models, so we build these models, and we train this models such that use that data to perform advanced analytics on them, that’s the whole idea. So, the more we see it, it is more accurate, he gets some in the range of about 90% accuracy today, because of how we have trained those models over time.
So, they can say Oh, this is the segment that we should focus on, this is also another major aspect to demand there. The third one is on Channel analysis, channelizes for them, so what we have in Africa, which then I will have talked about is that when we build this model from ground up, is for them to forecast that the likely will have this customer will not renew his policy, they will know several months before, okay, so we have all these built in so we put a lot of artificial intelligence, and all the rest around the machine learning.
We make it native in our product and solutions because we that helps businesses, and that’s part of the differentiation that we bring to our customers. So those are things that we do take on and we know just like you look at it in our leadership principle of customer obsession. When we are really young, we lead by these values. The solutions that we read on agile becomes is all about the solutions isn’t just about the platform and the value that the customers are getting. Okay.
What is your fear of the growth of the cloud market to make sure you remain competitive and also looking at NDPR is not legislation is more or less as a document that was a sprint to use to know, does that have any impact in the security that you could provide to your clients?
Okay, thank you. Let me start with the last one in terms of legislation and NDPR. Because some years back, I was privileged to be part of a committee to look at it, then we’re looking at working with NITDA, on things like this. And I know as we speak today, we have also, you know, voiced out to the legislation. We need to have a data law around data in the country. Okay. And that should be what goes to the National Assembly, like what we did with the PIB bill here now, to the petroleum industry, becoming an act, that also needs to happen.
For us, I mean, we are looking at some discussions yesterday, the last two days was the International Intellectual Property Day, and discussions were around how many years we are behind as a nation on intellectual property protection, you know, so we are always far from even catching up. And I think that’s a wake-up call also, which, we must put forward to the legislators. We have to take a look at the board around data, I know that there is work ongoing on this. So, we need to have really an act that is signed into law, on top of which it will guide all this. So, you will see some saying, we are not we don’t really have a lot.
So, some will comply, some say questions around data sovereignty, questions around data residency, these are critical things be clearly said, this is our position. But today is very boring stuff, could the data be encrypted? Once it’s how to have the software editing area, such that, you know, that is just for backup purposes, a lot must go into that. So, we still have a lot to do as a nation. But what we have done over the years, that’s wrong.
In 2016/17, we are one of the first organizations that actually worked with Microsoft, not only even in Redmond, to look at bringing the Azure Stack into Nigeria.
And we brought her new stack into Nigeria, were actually the first company in the organization that brought on your stack into Nigeria, the idea of the Azure Stack is to meet strict requirements for data. So residency, data must be in-country, and you are leveraging the full-fledged power of the cloud, you can actually spin up any application code, right all those things. And with a click, just bring it on-premise. And when I say on-premise, I mean to the Azure Stack, in the country, and you don’t need to rewrite any line of code. So that it gives that I breed, I promise that you can do this. In the cloud, we have data that does not even need to stay in the cloud.
Once you bring it on the stack. You have everything running with zero downtime, zero time to value immediately, and the service starts running. So, we’ve worked in these areas with the government. I mean, we put that in place, we have that service running. We are engaging with the likes of Galaxy Backbone, laying down the rest of the body to say, yes, we need to get to that point of really what should be the law. I know the work is ongoing. But how soon that is another point where I can say that a number of our customers in the oil and gas, there has been a lot more push in that area.
We’ll have other things like what I said in-country cloud services, which I think is something that is going to turn a lot around when the government really focuses on this because we’re still scratching the surface. When you look at the MITSDO, and the adoption of technology, it’s still we’re almost new, we are not there at all. And this will help because we cannot think about the government-wide collaboration platform. That is, you know, all running these kinds of services. I will say we are here we have the expertise in Nigeria, help us to project that message out there so that they can know these, right from the presidency.
This is the brand and all we have shared today can be verified. Again, we are the only partner in Sub-Saharan Africa that at the worldwide level is recognized as a Worldwide finalist in 2017 on Enterprise Mobility and Security. In 2018, as the worldwide finalist for Azure compete. So right on this Azure discussion, what we did was to take the telcos in Nigeria struggling with huge challenges to build a scalable cloud, all on an open-source platform, and they were able to scale on demand.
By telling you the platform, we can scale from the four-node clusters to up to 30. And once the demand goes down, it self-destructs itself back to reducing costs. We do that here in Nigeria for the telco. And with that, they can take the waiting up to 50 million calls. And when there is no need for loose capacity, defense destroys itself, they do need to pay for that.
Those are the kind of innovations that we resolve on open source, it is not even Microsoft services, they are all Linux and all the rest of such services.
We also know of a number of investments being done by Microsoft. And for us as Wragby, we share the use of investment we are also doing in terms of empowering Nigeria’s creating jobs. And also, these competencies that you can see anywhere you wonder how is it in Nigeria developed, this is our own, you know, differentiation and capabilities so position to really walk this talk.
So, I’m very hopeful that in the next three years to five years, the pace of adoption and really advancement because he improved his presence where you able to sell? Let me clarify and give you an example, which we are looking at. And I will close with that or I mean, as close your question that these small-medium businesses, think about all of them having a WordPress, web presence, that you know, a number of them all these export inputs that they agree can also say that talking about if they actually have a platform that easily as they subscribe on the services we provide for SME productivity automatically gives them a web presence with all their products.
And that platform can also do targeting, SEOs and all the rest that those who need those products globally, can really see them and transact, you know, the multiplier effect that is going to have for those businesses. So, we’re still looking into all those and how we can really boil down to empowering small businesses.
Yeah, thanks. Thanks for that, I think, yes. And that’s an opportunity area, if we start with the loan sharks and all that, I believe we still have a lot to do from a reputation side, also, because if you take a look at what’s happening, they shouldn’t be able to freely transact the way they do, and the platform that you use, but part of what we’re doing, and I think I was going to mention that is, that’s where the likes of blockchain technology comes in, in which we have a distributed ledger and the old capabilities that empower us for us to be able to ensure that we are about whoever, in turn, we already have technologies already in some of our solutions, okay, simple to track in terms of your record is an aggregation of different things that make your entity or profile, it’s like, we talked about maybe a small component or pages, things about your credit record, a credit rating, that’s kept history that you know, says a lot more we, you use the friends information about you because we don’t really have centralized data a country, we have three days, so different information about you and aggregate to build your profile.
And that helps to quickly say that this kind of person will really qualify for the kind of loan he or she is asking for. That helps in terms of the issue of the nonperforming loan, which will not even come into play. You know, for those that already pay you just must find ways to avoid that going on continuously.
So with that, they just explained that they were able to do you know, client profiling, for client profiling, you will be able to have more information, and also for those who are evil religion, you’ll be able to reduce, because of the information that’s already consulted, the likelihood that we’ll also look at collateral management, using our advanced analytics platform to be able to surface information on all this. And yes, there’s going to be a second guy who said, a combination of those by means from the model perspective, client profiling up all this information surfacing will help to see that as far as possible; we have a declining exposure for the insurance company
We are training you here to believe that this is what we want to make out of you. So, it’s a reality. And you know, several suggestions are coming in. But most of them they are against our order policy. Because we have very serious HR, you know, adding a Twitter account to that policy, as I sit on the board. Members, actually, I’m under their own, they will never agree.
So, it seems like you are spending so much. We spend so much on some people to train them if I was looking at the cost of last year, and this guy is about that. So, this is ideal. So maybe you want them so that the CD for us is a no, no. So, if we don’t push that into this, there’s so many will intentionally just be one day, then they take all these things, and some they just go and nobody writes on their forehead.
That’s what time for me to think, you know, so we know what we’ve done, really, so that’s the tough part, that you can’t really do anything to save that. So what we do is that right from the get-go, we look out for so many other things in the people we are bringing on board, you get that? So, to reduce that back to the question you asked the nonperforming loan is the typical case. So, it’s just the same which was so we have agreed that so there are so many other attributes that we look out for in these people before they join. So that reduces our exposure.
You understand that’s one thing I train actively, but the staff doesn’t say no. We just keep that because the bank for me is the Money Gram use even those who are able to do more things were invested in this.
But again, the bigger picture that we’ll see is what we’re doing, we are making impacts, and we are sowing seeds. That’s, you know, yeah, you know, people are nice if they become a better version of themselves wherever they go, you know, we feel we are still contributing to the vision of making the world a better place into the college or wherever these people fall in will at least use this knowledge to make an impact. So that’s the way it is until it turns out so thank you.
