Xiaomi earned 297 spots in the Global Fortune 500 jumping 100 spots from last year. The success is attributed to the company’s efforts to become part of daily lives, with a commitment to stronger production growth.
Yahaya Nicole, the creative manager, Xiaomi Nigeria, opened the Redmi Note 15 series launch by reeling out the successes of Xiaomi in 2025.
In her words,
“Today I have exciting news for you all. In fact, 2025 has been a great year for Xiaomi. We earned 297 spots in the Global Fortune 500 jumping 100 spots from last year. We have obtained this together as a result of each and every one of you sitting here for your love, for your dedication.”
She also highlighted Xiaomi’s entry into the high-end processor market, which enhances the product ecosystem for a seamless user experience.
The success of Xiaomi cars, with over 500 units sold cumulatively, exceeded the 2025 annual target. The Nigerian market saw significant growth, with an 18% increase in unit sales and a 48% unit share in the tablet segment.
The company aims to push boundaries further in the future.
Redmi Note Series Achievements and New Features
The Redmi Note’s popularity was emphasized, with over 460 million units shipped to 100 countries, attributed to its value-packed technology.

The new Redmi Note 15 series, including the Pro Plus 5G, was introduced with features such as a symmetric design, floating vocal, all-liquid display, advanced durability (impact and water resistance), and extended battery performance.

The Redmi Note 15 series is designed for both everyday and heavy users, featuring a 6500mAh battery that retains at least 80% health after six years, delivers two days of use, and supports reverse charging.
The device charges fully in 40 minutes and has a 13-hour battery life improvement over its predecessor.
Display features include a 6.83-inch, 120Hz screen with increased brightness, narrow bezels, and pro-grade materials for visibility in direct sunlight. Eye protection, enhanced connectivity, and efficient thermal management are also included.
AI features such as a personal interpreter and offline communication up to 1km further enhance the user experience.
The camera system boasts a 200MP sensor with AI enhancements, optical stabilization, and HDR for clear, vibrant photos, as well as advanced zoom and vlogging capabilities.
The front camera is 32MP, and AI tools improve selfie quality and remove unwanted objects.
Additional product feature highlights presented by Paul Elizabeth, the product manager at Xiaomi Nigeria, include SGS premium certification for durability, a 6000mAh battery, wireless charging, advanced connectivity, and multiple colour options.

The Red Note 115 and 115 Pro offer advanced cameras and safety features at competitive starting prices.
Customer Benefits and Partnerships
The presentation also introduced a partnership with MTN, offering substantial customer benefits: Red Note 15 ProPlus users receive 50 extra bundles for three months; Red Note 15 users get the same benefit for six months. All Red Note series purchases include branded gifts.
Premium subscriptions (three-month four-to-five premium and two-month YouTube premium) and aftercare services (including an 18-month quality assurance for Red Note 20 series and free spring replacement) are also provided. The offers are valid from January 29, 2026, to February 28, 2026.
Event Highlights and Live Demonstrations
The host, Ben Ogbeiwi, emphasized the uniqueness of the device, applauding he remarked,

The host launched this segment by inviting the audience to participate in a logo identification challenge, where they had 10 seconds to spot logos displayed on the screen.
The host led a countdown from 10 to 1, encouraging rapid observation and response. Audience members were then asked to hold up their phones, signaling active involvement in the challenge.
For the official unveil activity, Xingyu Yang, the Xiaomi Nigeria country manager, alongside other executives, was invited on stage.

The unveil involved a visual presentation of the Red Note 15 Pro, with the back of the device displayed first, followed by a dramatic unveiling of the front, building anticipation among the audience.
The host introduced the “Titan Smash Challenge,” a live demonstration to test and showcase the phone’s durability. The challenge required striking the device against a hard surface at an angle of at least 150 degrees.
A volunteer from the audience participated, while everyone observed the phone’s resilience during the test, underscoring the device’s robust design and durability in real-world scenarios.

The launch transitioned to its closing segment with a special performance by a renowned international circus and dance artist.
Music artist Faves took the stage, delivering a performance designed to honour and celebrate the accomplishments and success of the event.
Attendees were invited not only to enjoy the spectacle but also to reflect on and appreciate the event’s achievements as the gathering drew to a festive close.

An evening of mixed experiences began with an opening glee performance by the popular Dance Choreography group. Through art, Xiaomi’s mission was clearly stated, emphasizing scientific discovery and other innovation strides.
In attendance were industry experts, partners like MTN, BigBrotherAfrica alumni like Alex Unusual, the latest BBA winner Imisi, other tech influencers such as Miss Techy, and relevant stakeholders present at the launch.
