Zigamu is Fixing the Transportation Challenge in Owerri

Zigamu’s innovative approach to transportation is reshaping the way people travel in Owerri and neighboring cities.

One of the primary issues plaguing Owerri’s transportation system is the scarcity of designated bus stops. Without clearly defined pickup and drop-off points, commuters often find themselves waiting in disarray, unsure of where to catch their ride or disembark.

This lack of organization leads to confusion and delays, exacerbating the already challenging commute.

Additionally, the taxi services in Owerri suffer from disorganization and inconsistency. With no centralized system for booking or tracking cabs, passengers must rely on chance encounters or hailing taxis from the roadside, further complicating the process and prolonging travel times.

The inefficiencies in Owerri’s public transport system have far-reaching economic consequences for both individuals and businesses. The time wasted navigating the chaotic transportation network translates into lost productivity for commuters who rely on timely arrivals for work, appointments, and other engagements.

Addressing the challenges facing Owerri’s public transport system is not only crucial for improving the daily lives of residents but also for fostering economic growth and development in the region.

By leveraging technology to address the inefficiencies of traditional transport systems, Zigamu is driving positive change and improving the overall commuting experience for passengers and drivers alike.

A Seamless Experience

Recognizing the need for a more efficient and convenient transportation solution, Enisplus Limited launched Zigamu, a revolutionary cab booking app designed to streamline travel within the city.

Derived from the Igbo word for “SendMe,” Zigamu aims to simplify the process of finding and booking a ride, transforming the way people move around Owerri and beyond.

Zigamu consists of two user-friendly apps—one for drivers and one for passengers. The driver app enables drivers to easily sign up and register their vehicles, allowing them to accept ride requests from passengers seamlessly. With stringent requirements such as possessing a valid driving license and ensuring cars are equipped with air conditioning, Zigamu prioritizes safety and comfort for both drivers and passengers.

Since its inception in Owerri, Zigamu has quickly gained traction as the go-to cab booking app in the city. Its success has paved the way for expansion, with Zigamu now operating in neighboring Enugu. As the first ride-hailing startup in the south-south region of Nigeria to expand to other states, Zigamu is setting a new standard for transportation services in the area.

Furthermore, the unpredictability of travel times that can hamper business operations can easily be dealt with through Zigamu.

The passenger app empowers users to book cabs from the convenience of their homes, offices, or any other location, eliminating the hassle of waiting on the streets for taxis. Whether it’s a quick trip to the airport, a commute to work, or a leisurely ride to church, Zigamu offers passengers a reliable and efficient transportation solution at their fingertips.

Looking Ahead

As Zigamu continues to revolutionize transportation in Owerri and beyond, the company has ambitious plans for further expansion.

By investing in infrastructure improvements, implementing innovative transportation solutions, and promoting efficient service delivery, Zigamu’s offering is mitigating the economic impact of transportation challenges and creating a more prosperous and sustainable future for Owerri.

With a vision to become the leading cab booking app in eastern Nigeria, Zigamu is committed to providing residents with safe, convenient, and affordable transportation options, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for commuters across the region.

Gone are the days of uncertainty about the arrival time of your ride or delivery. With Zigamu’s real-time tracking feature, users can monitor the location of their driver or delivery person every step of the way. This provides peace of mind and ensures that you’re always informed about the status of your service.
