Apple’s latest 11-inch M3 iPad Air (128GB Wi-Fi) has hit its lowest price ever, from $599 to $479, during Amazon Prime Day.
Apple Launches iPad Air with M3 Chip | 3.5x Faster | 13-Inch Display | Starts at $599
For those opting in for AppleCare Plus with their M3 iPad Air, the total rises to $538.99, combining rare discounts on both hardware and warranty in a Prime Day offer that’s catching serious attention.
The deal includes two full years of AppleCare+, which usually costs around $100 separately, but is being offered here for just $59 extra. For many, that peace of mind alone makes the bundle more than worth it.
Again, the same markdowns apply to higher-capacity models. Amazon is taking $100 off the 512GB and 1TB versions as well, and, surprisingly, these discounts extend to non-Prime members too. It’s one of the few times Apple’s pricing ceiling has cracked this much, and across multiple tiers.
First released in March 2025, the M3 iPad Air is a tablet powered by Apple’s latest M3 chip, promising a 16% boost in single-core speed and 18% in multi-core performance compared to the M2 model.
Beyond raw performance, it’s designed with a future-forward approach in mind, supporting features from Apple Intelligence, such as Genmoji, Image Playground, and smart writing tools, all coming later this year with iPadOS 26.
David Pierce, a respected voice in consumer tech, said: “This is the best long-term iPad.”
Multitaskers and creatives have even more to look forward to. iPadOS 26, launching this fall, will bring a redesigned user experience, complete with a Mac-style windowing system, new menu bar, updated Files app, and smoother background task handling. With these additions, the M3 iPad Air will begin to feel less like a tablet and more like a serious laptop replacement.
Other design highlights include a 12MP camera setup on both ends for clear video calls and casual photography, plus Touch ID for seamless unlocking. It supports Apple Pencil Pro, also discounted during Prime Day, and the new Magic Keyboard, which further blurs the line between tablet and laptop.
Meanwhile, those after a more compact device should take note: the 7th-generation iPad Mini (128GB Wi-Fi) is down to $379—a $120 drop. Though smaller, its A17 Pro chip is no slouch.
It powers iPadOS 26 and Apple Intelligence just as well as the Air, while being ideal for reading, sketching, and travel. You’re still getting an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, Wi-Fi 6E, and support for Apple Pencil Pro.
Apple rarely sees discounts this wide or this generous. For those who’ve been holding off on upgrading, or stepping into the Apple ecosystem for the first time, this might be the time to act.
