MoMo Payment Service Bank (PSB) has launched an innovative customer loyalty program, ‘Customer Refer & Win Promo‘, offering customers a chance to win free airtime or data for life when they transact on MoMo and refer their families and friends to do the same.

There will be a weekly electronic draw starting from week 2 of the promotion, which will see 10 lucky winners win airtime or data.

This move comes as the company seeks to reinvigorate its user base and boost engagement.

Phrase Lubega, CEO of MoMo PSB, explained the rationale behind this bold initiative:

“We’re not just offering a promotion; we’re redefining our relationship with our customers. This ‘Customer Refer & Win Promo’ is our way of saying thank you to them for their loyalty and trust in our services.”

Lubega emphasised the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction:

“At MoMo PSB, we believe that every transaction should be more than just a payment. It should be an opportunity for our customers to gain value, convenience, and benefits. That’s why we’re giving them a chance to be rewarded with something as essential as airtime or data for life.”

The CEO outlined the broader vision behind the promotion:

“This initiative aligns perfectly with our mission to deepen financial inclusion in Nigeria. By offering free airtime and data, we’re not just rewarding transactions; we’re empowering our customers to stay connected, which is crucial in today’s digital economy.”

Lubega also highlighted the simplicity of the program:

“Participating is straightforward. Customers simply need to perform qualifying transactions such as MoMo-to-MoMo transfers, other bank transfers, Pan African inbound and outbound remittance, bill payments, betting wallet top-up and airtime/data purchase using MoMo PSB. Each transaction automatically enters them into periodic draws for the chance to win free airtime and data for life.”

Looking to the future, Lubega expressed optimism: “We’re not just a payment platform; we’re a partner in our customers’ digital lives. This promotion is just the beginning. We’re continuously innovating to offer more comprehensive financial services, including expanded payment processing solutions and management of point-of-sale terminals.”

The ‘Customer Refer & Win Promo’ is set to run for 12 weeks effective March 18th – June 9th, 2025, with weekly electronic draws starting from week 2 which will see 11 lucky customers win the star prize of airtime or data for 50 years and 110 lucky customers win consolation prizes of airtime or data for one year.

A further amplification of the promotion sees MoMo PSB planning nationwide customer sensitization and digital campaigns to drive awareness and participation.
