Through its technology-driven platforms and customer-focused solutions, GIGM delivers services that go beyond getting people from one-place to another.

At its flagship GIGM Product Conference held in Lagos today, the company unveiled HireX by GIGM, an integrated marketplace designed to redefine travel and customer experience.

Dr Enahoro Okhae, chief executive officer, GIG Mobility, said the unified digital marketplace combines multiple mobility services.

Okhae said the move marks a major strategic shift for the company, driven by rising customer demand for seamless and comprehensive mobility solutions.

“We are no longer just a company that moves people from Lagos to Benin. We are now a global mobility organisation.

“What we have built is an ecosystem where everything around travel sits on one platform bus transport, airline tickets, vehicle hire, tours, and soon hotels and insurance,” he said.

He explained that the platform allows users to access a wide range of travel services in one place, eliminating fragmentation across the sector.

According to him, the transformation was inspired by consistent customer requests for broader mobility offerings beyond intercity bus services.

“It became difficult to keep telling people we are just a bus company. The demand was clear people wanted more, and we had to evolve,” he said.

“You don’t need to own a luxury car to use one. You can hire for a few hours, depending on your needs. It’s about access, flexibility and service,” he added.

Through an easy-to-use digital platform, users can access premium vehicles for personal, business, and lifestyle needs while enjoying trusted service standards.

Okhae said that the company has achieved a long-term vision to build a fully integrated mobility ecosystem that connects people not just to destinations, but to experiences.

“We have moved from selling transportation to selling experiences,” he said.

On innovation, the CEO revealed that the company is advancing plans to deploy electric vehicles (EVs) for passenger transport, leveraging data from pilot projects conducted by its logistics arm.

According to him, the initiative will include the development of a nationwide charging infrastructure to support sustainable mobility.

The CEO added that, from intercity transportation and premium vehicle hire to travel experiences and investment opportunities, each offering is built to create convenience, reliability, and value.

Together, these solutions position GIG Mobility as a brand shaping the future of mobility in Africa.
