Infobip Appoints Olatayo Ladipo-Ajai as Regional Manager for West Africa

Olatayo Ladipo-Ajai, Regional Manager at Infobip Nigeria

Infobip, a global cloud communications company, has recently announced the appointment of Olatayo Ladipo-Ajai as the Regional Manager for Infobip West Africa.

“I feel very excited to take on this new role and I look forward to driving excellence in the region, helping my team develop their skills, maximise sales, and enrich the end-user customer’s experience with Infobip,” said Olatayo Ladipo-Ajai.

Olatayo Ladipo-Ajai, an experienced information technology expert, was formerly the country manager for Infobip Nigeria before assuming this new role. Olatayo has garnered over sixteen years’ experience working with various IT companies, his long history of leadership alongside his experience in developing innovative sales strategies and implementing processes that deliver value to global businesses makes him an ideal fit for this role.

His responsibilities in his new role include providing leadership for the region, ensuring revenue targets are achieved, providing change management, and ensuring the various countries in the region are aligned with the business objectives and strategy, amongst other things.

Olatayo adds, “My new position has two segments of focus; a revenue management focus and an operational focus, which includes talent management, monitoring performance/productivity and ensuring implementation of marketing strategies for the entire region,” explains Olatayo.

He believes that his background and experience as Country Manager for Infobip Nigeria along with his multi-varied past roles in other organisations as; Assistant General Manager (Nigeria) at CWG plc, Software Services Sales Leader & Cloud Specialist (Central and West Africa) for IBM, and Executive Director Sales (West Africa) for BCX,   contributed significantly to preparing him for this new position.

“Due to my background in helping organisations acquire the best technology, my previous work experiences and my understanding of the customer ecosystem, I am well-positioned for my new role. Furthermore, my knowledge of Infobip as a company and its solutions will make the transition a seamless one. My experience in the Software as a Service (SaaS) and Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) solutions space also contributes to giving me a good insight into what needs to be delivered,” says Olatayo.

“Having an understanding of the market in Nigeria will enable me to extend my management and leadership abilities to the additional countries that now fall within my region of responsibility,” he says.

He further states that he has a goal of making the global communications company more visible and becoming the customer engagement & communications platform provider of choice for our existing clients and prospective clients in the region.

Olatayo believes in strong teams, family values, equal rights for everyone, and that great ideas trump unstructured hard work!
