Harrison Nnaji, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at FirstBank who is an Appknox user for more than two years advised organizations to add Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) to their IT polices before and after rolling out mobile apps into the market.

Lanre Adelanwa Basamta, Group Head, Mobile Financial Services at Interswitch Group advised that organizations can have more than one VAPT tool to ensure end to end assessment is absolutely covered.

Surge in mobile breaches?

Despite some rays of light emerging, the bad news still seems to outweigh the good. In 2021, “South Africa had 230 million threat detections in total, while Kenya had 72 million and Morocco 71 million,” according to AFRIPOL.

“As an organization big or small, it is important that everyone practices a healthy cyber environment as they provide best-in-class mobile apps for their users”, the webinar agreed.

How CED Technologies partners with Appknox

“We strive to be the most trusted technology advisor for our clients as we stand behind our work and our clients in their needs. In the aera of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) for Mobile App Security we provide Appknox to our clients.

“Our commitment remains to connect businesses with the highest-rated and vetted software solutions in Africa,” the CEO said.
