HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has partnered with a local content creator and videographer, Damilola Ibidunni, to encourage people to make a positive change in 48 hours.
The campaign, which launched in February, is encouraging people to see what change they can make in 48 hours.
Ibidunni Damiloa used a Nokia 5.3 to capture how he helped local businesses start their digital footprint by equipping them with digital skills.
He showed them how to use mobile photography and videography so they could create more online visibility for their businesses.
Damilola Ibidunni, speaking about his experience, said: “People resist change because of the fear of uncertainty. With the pandemic disrupting the business environment, an opportunity to make a 48 Hours of Change in my city will give hope to struggling business owners. I decided to help local businesses in the biggest traditional retail market Eko Market, Lagos. Teaching them how to manage social media accounts, take better photos, and create video content with their smartphones. The objective was to help them grow financially and reach a wider audience online.”
The HMD Global, Marketing Manager for West Africa, Olamide Amosu, said: “2020 was a challenging year, but the strength in overcoming gives room for change. Change is sometimes challenging but also empowering. The impact of the 48 hours of change captured by Damilola equipping local business owners in Lagos is inspiring.
