The key strategic issues and challenges around agricultural exports will be discussed at a major webinar event being hosted by The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) today, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 12:00pm.

The event which is being moderated by Red Star’s CEO Dr. Shola Obabori is titled “Unlocking Trade and Export Opportunities in the Agricultural Sector”. Registration for the event can be done HERE.

The line-up of elite speakers includes: Dr Sola Obabori, MD/CEO Red Star Express Plc, Sami Khan, Director, Strategy, Food & Agriculture, CDC Group Plc; Captain John Okakpu, MD Abx Worl; Africanfarmer Mogaji, CEO FarmCredit NG; Ayodeji Balogun, CEO AFEX Commodities Exchange Ltd & Chairman of the NBCC Agric & Export Trade Group speaking on its theme.

The webinar which is being sponsored by the Nigerian Aviation Handling Co Plc is geared towards proffering solutions to salient issues affecting the Nigerian Agricultural landscape, highlight investment opportunities, provide insights for food sustainability, the commodities exchange and increasing exports for economic growth.

Speaking on the upcoming webinar, Dr. Obabori stated that “the clarion call to promote agriculture and turn Nigeria into an export giant must go beyond rhetoric. No nation becomes greet without a vibrant agricultural sector. The time for action is now.”

The President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC), Mr Kayode Falowo, said that the Agricultural value chain is a key industry for economic development.

“Harnessing its trade and export potential will not only create wealth and job opportunities, but will also boost the nation’s GDP, reduce poverty and insecurity. As the largest sector employing two-thirds of the nation’s citizens, we recognise the significance of agriculture and cannot undermine its transformative power”, Falowo said.

The NBCC webinar will explore trade & export opportunities in the agricultural sector while addressing its challenges.
